Atlansia/Armen Basses

    I wanted to know if anyone has any experience with either of these luthiers. Nobuaki Hiyashi makes Atlansia instruments and Armen Blbulian makes Armen instruments. I figured I would lump these two together, both being relatively obscure luthiers.

    I got a chance to play an Atlansia Stealth 4 string at Rudy's. It was all ash and had a rosewood FB. The neck felt great but I wasn't thrilled about the electronics. For some reason I felt it sounded a little thin. Well, I've been scoping these guys for some time and wanted to know more. Anyone?

    The Atlantsias are so wonderfully dangerous in their designs. How they play I don't know but I like to see someone doing something REALLY different.

    That's exactly how I feel too. I love those wild and crazy designs and they're really appealing too :)
