Atlanta Band needs Prog style bassist

Discussion in 'Miscellaneous [BG]' started by ThrashingGrace, Feb 8, 2003.

  1. Equilibrium is seeking a permanent bass player. We are an established band with much to offer the right individual. We are an original prog influenced- modern metal project (female vocals) with radio viability.
We are anxious to record new material with you and our new drummer. In the meantime, there are 3 songs from demo recordings at
    www.mp3.com/equilibrium_atl
Please check it out and if you are interested please contact Brandon Thomas at 404-483-7379 or Alan Lee at 770-433-8846.
We are extremely serious about our music and the vision and would like a permanent member to be as dedicated an as passionate about this as we are. Thanks for your time!

There should be a "Hey we're looking for a bassist" forum where people like our friend here can post.

i've played with these folks a little, before time committments got in the way and i had to bail on them, and they are really great musicians, with good ideas, and really just good people. whoever lands the bass chair will get a sweet gig.

    hi andrea, good luck :)

Great idea for a musicians wanted section, but I wonder how often it would be used.

I think we did have a discussion for a band hookups classified section a while back, but decided not to because we thought people might get to competitive with other, trying to land gigs.

true but in "the real world" you compete against other bassist. Also, not everyone would be interested or able to join certain bands.

With proper advertisment, etc... more people than you think. These kinda threads pop up quite a bit.

Ah, thats a good idea. I was thinking it would be silly on a all bassist fourm, but if it had proper advertising, it might be a very good idea.

bassists ARE the most in demand instrumentalists....

it'd be like ebay, for bassists ;)
