Atomic Amplifire Bass Box at NAMM

Discussion in 'Effects [BG]' started by jimfist, Jan 20, 2019.

  1. Hey Fellas,
Unless I've missed it earlier in the thread, could I get one (or both ;)) of you to post some clips of the other amp models with different cabs? The SVT clips both of you have posted sound great. I'm just hoping the other sims sound as good.
What are the tube and solid state models simulating? Fender and GK?
Also after reading the manual there really isn't a gain knob for the amp sims right? So any overdrive or distortion will be coming from the boost switch?
    Thank you in advance,
    Best wishes,
    Brent

Here is a quick take using the Tube/4x10 and then the same thing played with the Solid State/1x12 I believe it is. Sorry for not making it longer...gotta jet to work! LOL

  6. To my ears it sounds like the tube sim is looser and grindier in the low mids and the solid state is mid scooped and smoother?
Definitely a difference which adds more options. Hmmm this or HX Stomp. I will have to give it some thought.
    Thanks again!

So at this point I'm still on the waitlist for a bassbox invite. Hopefully it will happen soon. On the waitlist for a Fractal FM3 as well. At this point I'm like, take my money dammit! I'm wondering if these companies are suffering the effects of the Covid-19 virus on supply chains, or just did not plan on the units selling as well as they have?:banghead:

Hmm - have you checked the classifieds? (Totally affiliated, so I hope this isn’t a breach of any kind.)

I did, but too late. Been busy the last few days. No time for the interwebz. If it's sunny in Seattle, you have to take advantage of that before the rain comes back.

Yeah, finally got into the editor. This has to be one of the best purchases I have made in quite sometime. I use it everyday when practicing and not a bad sound in this thing.
