I use a Line 6 wireless system for my db. Before the quarantine, I was just using black electrical tape to attach the transmitter to the tailpiece. It wasn't pretty, but the black-on-black hid well and it was effective. But it was a pain in the butt to change batteries, check levels, etc etc.

Is there some kind of pouch or system that I can purchase that handles this kind of problem? I would love to plug the jack into my pickup and then slide the transmitter body into an effective pocket or clip without using tape.

    Thanks!

Hmmm, here are the wireless devices I'm using. You just plug them in the socket on the DB (I have 3 sockets and two Tx/Rc sets to choose from) and let them hang there. Very simple, very effective.

    Maybe I'm underthinking this?

Thanks for the reply. This is more like the unit that I have to deal with:

Much too large to just let it dangle.

Looking around the internet, I found this on etsy.

Looks cool, but its really made for a bass guitar strap. I might be able to modify it somehow.

Still looking for a better solution.

Nice, it looks like it was made for the transmitter. Really can't beat that. Could be attached to your tailpiece perhaps?

I know the situation a bit though, my mounted pre-amp for my piezo pickups needed to have a steady home where I could reach it easily. The pre-amp came with a belt clip. I have attached super-heavy duty adhesive velcro to the back of the pre-amp, and to the back of my thick leather bow quiver, into which I also cut a slot for the pre-amp's belt clip. With all that the pre-amp is very solidly mounted where I can reach it quickly to make changes, and it's pretty invisible to the audience.

I’ve used a zip tie to secure the RF pack to the tailgut. It sits underneath and is quite invisible. I just use the belt clip to catch the tailgut and use the zip to make sure nothing vibrates. It’s been rock solid for me.

I would use velcro to stick it to the back of the tailpiece. What could be easier?

Velcro wouldn't work in my situation, it wouldn't be strong enough. I am not a psychobilly player or anything like that, but for my current (*cough* hopefully it reopens) gig, they like a little animation from the bass player.

I went ahead and ordered the pouch from etsy. I will update the post when I finally a) recieve it and b) get to go back to the club and test it out
