Check out my nw roscoe SKB 3005!!!

    Specs:
    -SKB3005
    -Ash body
    -Exhibition quilt maple top
    -Birds eye fretboard
-standard roscoe neck (not the wedge neck)
    -bartolini pickups
    -demeter preamp

The brown truck delivered it yesterday & luckily I had a chance to play it at practice last night.

When I opened the case at work, everyone in my office could not believe how beautiful the bass looks in person. The pics are great, but in person there is so much detail in the top & fretboard. Its really classy looking.

First off, I have not played 5 string in approx 2 1/2 years & the first thing that struck me was how easy & comfy the neck is. Its actually thinner, front to back, than my roscoe 4 string. Re-adjusting to the B string was no problem at all.

All my current basses are 34" scale & I was suprised at how different the SKB3005 felt (35" scale) compared to my 4's. The E through G strings sounded much bigger & clearer. & the B string itself is just awesome to play. Having 2 octaves in all positions makes my life so much easier. I dont think I had the proper amps when I used to play 5 string, but now with my eden head & aggie 410 it sounds awesome. The head & cab didnt flinch all night & I was really loud.

The bass has awesome tones all around. The demeter preamp is voiced very well & really fits the bass. It sat perfectly in the mix.

This is my first bass purchase in a while & I could not be happier. Thanks again to Jay at BlueBerryHill bass & Gard @ roscoe for taking care of me & dealing with my weekly inquiries :smug:

    Check out the pics....

whats also interesting (& maybe you guys can answer this) is that my roscoe 4 string & 5 string have the same body shapes. The 4 does have the slanted pickups (ala LG), but the body shape is all SKB. I though they only made LG 4 strings? Do I have a special bass or did they make SKB 4's at some time?

Hey Jive, could you post a bigger front-on pic of your 4? I'm really interested in seeing it.

We don't list the SKB 4, but if someone special orders it, it's the same price as the LG 4. The slanted vs. non-slanted pickups can be requested as well, no charge.

If you can do that at no charge, can you just do the whole thing for no charge too?

Great looking bass jivetkr! The quilt on the top is awesome and I love the amber tint! I agree that the Roscoe Demeter pre is voiced perfectly for the Roscoe. That's a good looking trio! ;)
