  1. recently installed a set of Bill Lawrence P/J's

my output is very low per Bill's diagram.....was thinking about wiring it back to standard V/B/T

but is is possible to wire Stacked separate volume and tone controls

V/T V/T....do i need a three way selector switch to accomplish this? or can it be done without one?

been searching threads for over an hour with no clear answer...nor can i find a diagram for this set up anywhere

  2. You would need to wire it like an old stacked-knob Jazz bass. The problem, however, is that you need resistors in series with the signal paths, to allow independent tone controls. This reduces output.

If you use a pickup selector switch, there will still be tone control interaction when both pickups are used, but the controls will be independent when the pickups are soloed. This would be Les Paul wiring.
  3. Hence the reason my output is low now....Bill's Diagram has a resistor for the J
