OK sir, I will make a note of your command. I apologize in advance for putting an E string in the E string slot on my nut.

    Dude chill,

A new nut is only like five or ten bucks. You can easily replace with a pre slotted nut. Now, if your gonna pay to have a custom nut made then that will be a bit more expensive. Bottom line, people will all use different types of gauges as well as even string, BEAD, instead of normal tuning. I wouldn't hold my breath for anybody to take you seriously. It is not your bass to tell anyone what to do with it.

The previous owner probably had it strung BEAD. Just buy a new net if this is causing a problem.

I don't see why you guys have a problem following this.
(reference the movie where Captain Kirk explains Spocks strange utterings in "Star Trek the voyage home"........"too much LDS" )
  12. Funny, my Jazz is 40 years old, and hasn't experienced the problem of which you speak.

But I shall heed your warning and not continue to string my basses in an improper manner.
  13. Me too, and I won't do anything nasty with my nuts either... :D (plural due to plural basses...) :bag:
