I'm on the market for a new stack. I was looking at some Hartke stuff, but I got to play through a GK combo years ago and loved the sound. Haven't yet played a Hartke so im kinda leaning towards something I know I like.

But what do you guys think of these 2 components? Are they a good match together? They will run me about $1000 so that's in my price range.

The GK/Harke combination was THE sound of the big '80's. Throw in a Spector NS2, grow your hair, and have fun!

Haha. I have a 6 string MTD so I won't be getting a Spector any time soon.

But I want to find out if both of the GK components make a good pair.

i'm highly debating on the same GK head, but thinking about teaming it up with the ampeg svt410hlf cab. I've found through many forums that the sbx cab just doesn't get the reviews the svt410hlf gets. It is a hard decission for me since I like GK so much. Good luck

I used to run the exact same setup. It sounds damn good for most music, but I didn't really like it in the band I was in. Very clean and loud though.
  6. Thats a nice combo. And you can always add the 115SBX later on if you want.

And does that 700RB head have enough horsepower for both of those cabs?
