I took a recording from a desk to the line in of a zoom h2 hand held recorder. I couldn't get the left and right signals to the h2, only the left side. I have a recording now that only plays through one speaker of a stereo.

I have this track on audacity (left side only) how can i copy it to the to right side for stereo listening?

I don't have the software in front of me right now, but I'm almost positive that there is an option under the pulldown menu for the individual track to split it to stereo if it is recorded in mono.

The mono track can be multiplied by using the "add stereo track" from the Project menu, then highlight both the empty "new stereo track" and your existing mono track, then, from the Project menu, select "quick mix". This will give you a stereo track which you can use for whatever. Also, whenever you "export as", the tracks will all be mixed down to stereo as they are "exported". Capiche?

BTW: the newly added blank stereo track won't show the highlighting shading, but it's still included for the "Quick-mix".
