So I’m thinking about getting a Player Series Jaguar, but I’d like to make it active. I’m thinking either the Aguilar OBP or, even easier, the Audere. I’d like to just do vol stacked and bass/treble stacked.

Now, my question is for anyone who has installed these, do they require any modification to the body to make it fit? I realize I might have to make something work to get the 9v battery to fit, but will the preamp fit inside a regular jazz sized control rout? I’ve done bass modification before, but I’m looking for the route that requires the least amount.

Not super familiar with the Player Series Jaguar. If it has a Jazz bass type/sized control plate it should fit no problem. If it is the smaller curved plate it won't fit. If you only want stacked vol/bal, stacked bass/ treble, not sure they make that configuration on a plate. I think you might have to go with the module and install it on your plate. Here's dimensions. That plus a battery should fit. Measure your cavity

Thanks for the photos! Yes, I plan to get the module and do that. I would assume the control plate on the Jaguar is the same as the Jazz bass, they look identical in photos. But I plan to get a 3 hole plate instead of the 4 hole and do the two stacked knobs and output. I just really like the look of that setup on jazz basses.

Seems to be enough room for that module and battery. Maybe a little cramped, but should fit. Good luck, keep us posted.
