Hey all!! I have been playing for a year now, and im now gonna audition for our school/show/band thingy. But i cant find a suitabla solo piece for bass :( I can play stuff like Around The World and Anesthesia but that wont suit this audition, so im looking for a more jazz/funk/fusion solo thing or maybe some blues or...? Well anyway i could really use some help here, so if u know any good solo things available on the net (tab or notes i read both) that would be awesome!! All help appreciatet!! THX

Go to www.bassically.net and poke around the featured artist section. There's some good solo stuff there.

Yeah, like if you played "Misty" (Michael Dimin) they would probably think youd fit the part, seeing its got a lead and background role all in one.

Plus its a good song to learn.

Both Autumn leaves and Footprints are on my upcoming CD. I am just waiting for cover artwork to be completed. Special Guest on the CD is Paul McCandless of oregon and Bela Fleck and the flectones fames (as well as 100's of other projects)
