    Do any of yall watch Austin City Limits or Mountain Stage on Sat. Night on Public Tv? Between the 2 shows, in the last couple months I've seen Beck, Merle Haggard, Lyle Lovett, Bruce Hornsby, Los Lobos, The Derailers, and Joan Osbourne. Great Americana music!!

    I usually have a gig on Saturday nights, but when I am home I always watch both shows. I usually set my VCR to record them to watch later. You can catch some really good musicians on those shows.

    Very true. Most people who arent in "the know" think Austin is some country bumkin Opry rip-off, but in all honesty, it has set the standard for true American music. With guests ranging from Willie, Waylon, Coe, Cash, Earle, Lovett, and Strait, to Los Lobos, Beck, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Whiskeytown, and Beck how can that show go wrong?

    yeah...I don't hear too much "country bumkin Opry rip-off" on 6th Street...unless you walk down the street with your Walkman playing Patsy Cline.:D
