This is a feeler, something else has my fancy at the moment. This is a fantastic, vintage jazz bass with Authentic wear and it feels and sounds great. This bass has been played hard and it shows. Nothing major, just looks and feels like a 40+ year old player should. Weighs in at just under 9lbs on a cheap bath scale. Original nitro two tone burst 69' (or 70') alder body very well used with some serious buckle rash and player wear. The Pickguard, bridge (brass saddles) and control plate are also original. Neck is 80's Warmoth (I was told) RW board vintage frets. Very narrow and nicely worn in. It is a really nice jazz neck. The tuners are old style Hipshot nickel, with a detuner. pickups are Aero type 1 jazz, and the guts are CTS / Switchcraft. No beauty queen or collector piece, but if you are looking for vintage, honest wear player that you don't have to sweat paying live or accidentally bang around this is for you. Plus it sounds great. Asking $1350 shipped CONUS. I will pull if the instrument I am dreaming on sells first. PM me with any questions and thanks for looking.
So that was played for years by someone who kept it pretty low at an interesting position? Very cool bass
Good morning! I am in San Diego and interested in the bass. I have a '65 jazz all original but at times I don't want to take it to certain gigs. Is it possible to see it in person? Thanks for considering. Bob 619-887-3040 text me if you like.
