How about whenever anyone posts a thread stating that they are leaving TB, they get automatically banned for 3 months to help them with their decision. That will stop all these people who post "i'm leaving" threads just for attention. Your thoughts?
I think that's the best idea I've heard in the last year or so. I always picture the person that posts "I'm leaving", self pleasuring after they read all the "no, don't go, we love you" responses.
I second this. I've elft and re-joined forums after several months before- not for attention, but cause I really had every intention of leaving the forum for good due to misc. circumstances. I actually got accused of beign a drama whore for doing such a thign and returning a few months later, although I was a founding member Anyway, it is a good idea- if someone really wants to leave, then by all means...
I'm leaving... This thread. But before I go, I would like to ask how far banning goes? Is it just on that user name, or is it in their range of IP addresses?
I would put this on a case by case basis...well, the fact that they make an "I'm leaving" thread is pretty irrelevant in my opinion. Didn't Ben Strange have one? Who hear wanted to him to leave...he swings by occasionally still.
