Melodyne or Autotune: which is better, and which version should I get? I was leaning toward Melodyne, as I believe it is dongle free (but I am not positive), but I am not sure a dongle is that big of a deal. Mostly importantly, I don't know how the latest versions stack against each other, or which version of each I would need. I need the best pitch correction, and excellent time stretch is a nice to have. What do you say?
When Im in the studio and we need to tune my singer's voice (not that often ) We us Antares Autotune. It's the best, I swear by it.
Depends on what you want need to to. They are different products and have different features and user interfaces. If you need "DNA Direct Note Access" - you can only get that with Melodyne If you just want pitch correction - then then is many choices. They all have demo versions - so set aside some time and try the demo's then decide.
