I think it's about as good as the search function for the forum. ;)
  4. Cut the OP some slack, he just joined in June!
There are many Avatar users here and several with the 212. Just browse through the Avatar club thread. If you have more specific questions you can send a private message to those who actually own one.

BTW BillyB your hitchhiker's thumb is almost the same as mine! Do your thumbs pop all the time like mine do?
  5. They're ok, but I'm not fond of the Eminence Delta + tweeter combo. My main rig uses the B212 but look up Burdizzo's mod if you get one (replaces the tweeter with a 5" midrange driver)

They are good for the cost...I matched a 210 with a 212 and a Carvin BX 1500 head and loved the tones.

    Oh, THAT Avatar! ;)

Actually, I've used Dave's cabinets on and off since about 2002...

I've considered buying a 4 ohm 2x12 and swapping the tweeter for a midrange. I think I'd like that better.

But, there are tons of Avatar threads and two parts of the Avatar Club thread.

I've got two Avatars (212 & 410), both neos. I have really like them. I use them with Genz-Benz Shuttlemax 12 amp. They have served me well and are very well made. I'm currently using Ampeg, but my keys guy is using the G-B and 410 cab. Sounds great. You really can't go wrong with Avatar, IMO.

BTW, welcome to TalkBass. I can't tell you the number of times I've gone to this forum for information and advice. Great bunch of users.
