I have to give thanks and props where they are due. There is a guy in Stephen City VA named Dennis Whitacre that is the KING of tube amp and amp repair. I would HIGHLY suggest anyone looking for amp repair to talk to this guy. He replaced the preamp tubes in my guitar amps with telefunkins without even me asking for an upgrade!!!!
This guy has been repairing amps for years and can really get the job done. I have NO affilation with him but I can vouch his repairs are priced reasonably and he will make sure you get treated well.
I have had some real BAD experiences with PRO-TECH in DC and tried him on a whim. I would take ANY amp or tube amp to him in a heartbeat. Just trying to send some business his way because it's hard to find a good amp tech that's a player that will actually play through your amp instead of bench test it before they send it out.
