You can play that first section with less shifting around by starting a bit higher up:
    Main Part
    G|----------------------------------------------9----------------|
    D|-------------7-----------9-------10-9-------9------------------|
    A|-7---10--7-7---7------7-------7-7-----10--7------7---------9-7-|
    E|-----------------10--------------------------------10-10-7-----|

Of course, that still doesn't really indicate the rhythm but if it's the notes that are a problem this might be easier.

Nice shot at tab dissasociation. Subtle yet works ;)

 Pardon? Tabs are a useful form of notation, although with certain limits. I could play the snippet because I vaguely remembered the tune - otherwise I'd have no hope of 'extracting' it from the notation.

Mind you, the rhythms is reasonably complex, so adding that information in wouldn't be entirely straightforward ;)

Way cool song. Anyone know the actual bass line. I remeber that being really sycopated and cool.

Since it's a keyboard/synth bass, I learned it on the keyboard but it shouldn't be too hard to play on bass.
