B & M Brown Bread in a can. Anybody ever eat this stuff?

A friend of mine has had a can of this sitting on top of his fridge for months and I'm super curious about it.
Any good?
Was a Saturday night staple when I was a lad. Beans and hot dogs and brown bread.
I vaguely remember liking it, but it was 50+ years ago that I would have had it.

I used to love it, had a hankering for some a while back and gave it a try (harder to find any more). About like I remembered, maybe a bit dry though. The kind with raisins is good. And of course, goes best with brown beans and hot dogs!
Why does it cost twice as much on Amazon as it does at my local (Texas) Kroeger?

I'm thinking this is a matter of no store in their right mind would stock this so if you actually want it, you're paying a premium, goshdarnit.
I mean, seriously, if your local Kroger has this on its shelves, I'm not sure what to say.

Probably a third party seller.
There are a few products we like to buy from Buc-ees in Texas. They don't have an online store, but sure enough you can find the products on Amazon for three or four times the price of buying it at an actual Buc-ees.
It's another reason I don't like Amazon anymore.

Might want to look at this place. I know a lot of the "jarred" items are similar to Buc-ees.

I've had a few slices in my time. Though It's been decades I suppose.

My mother used to make homemade brown bread. She did a great job as it wasn't near as dry as the brands found in a store.

Given it's name and description, I'd be very wary of that stuff...
Not as good as a nice warm spotted dick I'm sure. 
Honestly, I don't eat bread. That said, the ingredients in this bread are better than the vast majority of loaf bread out there. If you're going to eat bread, this one has less garbage in it than most.
Read the ingredients list on your favorite loaf bread and get back to me if you can pronounce some of them (unless you go out of your way to get "good" bread).
