B2R or SVT3 Pro to play over DUAL REC

Discussion in 'Amps and Cabs [BG]' started by FearandLoathing, Dec 13, 2001.

  1. Will either of these (through a SVT6x10) be able to be heard over a Mesa boogie DUAL rectifier (th guitarist doesnt play to loud
  2. I've fought over 2 loud guitars (Mesa Mark 2 + 2x12", EB Musicman RD130 2x12") with a B2R through a 4x10 (had to have it maxxed all the way) and an 8x10 (better, but still lacking in headroom).

Go the SVT3 (or B5R or something with more whoop)...even though Ampeg claim the B2R (and SVT350H, which is the same internals) 350w into 4ohms, it's a plain lie - it's more like 200w into 4ohms...you'll always want more headroom, so spend the money now so you don't have to revisit later...
