Baby bass

    HI. I would really appreciate it if someone would tell me where can I buy a baby bass that is not that expensive. Thanks

    ALL the Baby Bass reissues (Azola, Ampegs made by Azola, Ray Ramirez) cost MORE than a clean used Ampeg for the 60s. Just check with the vintage dealers!!!

    I searched gbase.com and found two for $2150 and $2250 (a 5 string!) But I've seen ones for under $2000 (I sold mine for a mere $750 10 years ago!!).

    Azola prices start at $2500 for his "MiniBass", $3000 for the "acoustic" (hollow wood body) Baby Bass, the fiberglass body is $3300 :eek: If you want the mag diaphragm pickup for the "vintage" tone, that's an additional cost except for the fiberglass model :(

    Ray Ramirez starts at $2300 for fiberglass Babys, $3200 for wood bodies.

    Hmm, maybe Ramirez and Azola need to decide if wood is cheaper than fiberglass or not :D
