    Bacchus Craft-series Jazz Bass

Amazing Japanese made, Bacchus brand, Jazz bass. I've owned this for a few years now and if I liked jazz basses better, it would stay. Check out that pearloid binding!

Tuners (lollipop) and bridge are upgraded with Hipshot hardware - the originals are included with the bass. I had a custom black pickguard made for the bass so that it would look like a traditional jazz pickguard - the original is included; the bass also looks great without a pickguard!

The original electronics were long gone when I had it, replaced with EMGs. I removed those and put custom wound Ulyate passive pickups in it along with an amazing Audere preamp (details below). It comes with a gig bag.

    Specs:
    BODY: ASH
    NECK: MAPLE
    FINGER BOARD: ROSEWOOD
    SCALE: 34"
    RADIUS: 12"
    WIDTH AT NUT: 1.5"
    WEIGHT: 9-9.5 pounds
    FINISH: URETHANE SUNBURST
    with ORIGINAL GIGBAG

Audere system controls (no Z mode): Vol, Balance, Passive Tone, Bass, Mid, Treble, Mid Freq Switch (chrome). The black switch is actually attached to nothing, I was using it as a "producer's switch".

PRICE: $750 shipped and insured via FedEx to the CONUS only

    NO TRADES

I am shocked this is still here.
I have played this bass and it smokes. I find a 1.5" necks a little too thin for me, otherwise I'd be all over it... but most people love them. This is a killer bass for a steal. Buy it!

Wow this is beautiful. Seriously thinking about it. You mentioned that you are including the original pickguard. What color is it? Is it one of the clear ones? What shape? Any way you could post a pic of the bass with it on? (or PM a pic to me?) Thanks!

@heb9_28 You should definitely buy this :D I have played this bass a number of times, and I believe at one point it even lived at my house for a bit while Dave was moving. Sweet bass. It originally had a clear guard and looked like this. IMHO it looks so much cooler now (and sounds better too.)

    I still want it. Bad.

But two days ago a USA EMBB Sterling HS 4 came up for sale in my local craigslist at a stupidly low price and I had to get it. So, hopefully there will be another financial windfall soon and I can snatch this up before it disappears! Gov't stimulus check maybe.....

Feel free to PM me, but I'd rather not deal with shipping another bass; pedals and the like might be okay....
