Really nice precision bass from Bacchus Japan. This is my third bass guitar from this shop and probably not my last. Bass sounds and plays like a great P Bass because it is. And I've had several P basses. High end, low end and everything in between and this bass just nails it. All for the cost of the Mexican standard from big F. As per TB rules this is now wearing a tort guard and flats. Bass setup for low action with a fresh set of Pyramid Flatwounds. My favorite string for a P bass. The electronics were replaced with Mojotone CTS Pots and a Switchcraft Jack. Pickup is stock and fabulous. Pick guard is a real nitrate tort. I did have to file it a bit to get it on and drill two new holes. It's a little too wide around the pickup as you can see in the pics. Original white pick guard included in the sale. Replaced the stock tuners with Gotoh Res-O-Lite. Knocked a little more than 4 ounces off the head stock. If you prefer the original tuners I will knock $50 off the price. Bass is in generally excellent condition. two small barely noticeable dings on the neck. Didn't actually see them until I took pictures. Can't find any other dings. Ships in the original Bacchus gig bag. Oh and currently weigh 8 lbs. 8 oz. These are really great basses. If I wasn’t in downsizing Mode, I’d grab this. Great TB’r to deal with here as well.
Yes 40mm nut width = 1.5748" Current weight 8 lbs. 8 oz. Neck profile feels like a modern Fender Precision to me.
