If you're following the other posts, you can see I had a pretty full week of fun. By accident, I found the location of Ed Roman Guitars. Of course, I couldn't pass on getting in there and having a look around. I wasn't disappionted in the least. Ed bills this place as the worlds largest guitar showroom and I couldn't see a thing that would contradict that. There had to be at least 500 guitars in the various rooms - things I've never even heard of before - lotsa things! Basses? Yeah, he had a few. Probably 40 or 50 in his bass room. There was a pretty eclectic bunch too - where else would you see 4 - count'em - 4 Ritters? There were 4 Alembics, 2 Steinberger upright EB's, lotsa Toby's, R & L's, Ken Smiths, a couple of Fenders, a few Bolin's and a truly unusual Spalt. The staff there was absolutely the most gracious group you ever wanted to meet. They wanted me to meet Ed himself but couldn't get him away from the phone long enough to do the meet-n-greet thing. No loss, his staff did a wonderful job in his absence.
