I just sold my Marshall Lemmy amp and I've been looking for a large cab to buy for my SVT. I've been looking at a lot of cabs lately and everything that I wanted was either too big/heavy or too expensive. I almost pulled the trigger on a new NV115, but with shipping it would have been $910 and it would be worthless with the SVT.

I used to own an NV610 (twice!) as well as an NV215. I loved both of those cabs and I've been wanting another NV215 for a while, but all the other NV owners have said that my tonal goals lean towards the NV412. Well, on a whim I just checked ebay and found this badboy!

They said that it was in basically new condition and it comes in at exactly $1k with shipping. I know I shouldn't have done it, but I couldn't resist. All the NV's I've owned in the past were rat fur too and I've always wanted to grab one of the newer tolex ones.

I've been super happy with my Walkabout/AE212 rig, but wanted something for when I need to blow the walls down and I think I found it. :bassist::bassist::bassist::bassist:

Unless they had two, I played that one last week in the store. Great cab. And it seemed like a new cabinet to me. Enjoy!!

And Chris and George are terrific to do business with...

    Cheers,

You, sir, have a serious "problem" with accumulation of basses! :)

You realize, of course, that the picture was taken at Bass San Diego ...

As Rick Perry would say, "Oops!"

(Only time I get to SD is to see my mom in Carlsbad, so I'm a SD virgin.)

It's less than a half-hour drive from Carlsbad - you have no excuse. Chris and George try to make it look very homey. It's a great place to hang out.

I was going to say, he must really love the Berg if he has brand new GK and Aguilar amps sitting in unopened boxes :p.

I have the same rug, $49.99 at Ikea ;).

I prefer the NV610 simply because it nails the vintage SVT vibe, but not everybody wants that. The NV412 is also an absolutely killer cab, no doubt. Congrats!

And... I envy the skid rails on yours!

Thanks man, it was actually your advice I was following in getting the NV412. I still want to pick up your NV610 and hopefully will in the future.

Cool! All the NV's play well together - mine is still here, sitting unused, but not collecting dust (I keep the Swifters handy!). Still for sale until I build a big tube head and decide to keep it!
