    Here's props to Dexter Wansel, an amazing musician, composer and arranger and part of TSOP. He also had one of the baddest bassist, Derrick Graves, who doesn't get much mention these days. Here is "Life on Mars" with Mr. Graves killing on bass:

    Takes me back to the old days! Another favorite of mine in the same vein from back then was Lonnie Liston Smith.

    I picked up a compilation set of his two CDs after Life On Mars. Great playing and great memories.:)
