Backline halfstack

    My opinion: Underpowered amp (125 watts), mediocre cab. The Backline series doesn't have a very good reputation, unfortunately. This rig will look much better than it sounds.

    Save your money for a real GK (or similar) set-up... $500 or so used will take you a lot further than the Backline series.

    Squire is to Fender as Backline is to GK. :meh:

    Man, i hate searching for a new amp to buy. *sigh* I just don't know much about this stuff, guess I need to learn. Any advice on what I could get in the 500 dollar range?

    get a reall gk!!

    gk1001RB II with the 4x10 sbx cab or even a neo cab.

    Save and buy a real GK like everyone is saying. I had that setup and It was way too quiet. It's a pain lugging a 4x10 around when you get that little volume out of it. For the same price you could get a real GK combo instead of a BL half stack.
