Im looking for an inexpensive backup bass that has similar string spacing as my Lakland 55-02. All the ones I've played in the local stores have a narrower spacing, which I find uncomfortable. I thought the OLP MM3 would be a good option, but its string spacing is narrower than the Stingray 5 it mimics. Looking to spend under $400. Any suggestions?

Hmmm, a used 55-01 can be had for $500'ish.

  3. used MTD Kingston, perhaps?
