On December fourth i bought fretless bass neck from buzzard bass online. I have still not received it today, december 13. Brian Cornwell, the owner of the store was incredibly rude during our email correspondence. I Sent him one email telling him about My dissapointment that it had not arrived and he sent me a back a giant wall of text riddled with expletives:

Well you're an ungrateful turd. Perhaps you should READ a few things before you buy or try making contact first or something other that opening your mouth without the slightest bit of knowledge about what my shop represents to thousands of people.

First LOOK at the shaging UPS Tracking page: here's the number:
    Tracking Details: 1Z7776970355338312

Next, WHERE can you buy bass parts from a list of choices as large as what I list? It's just too unfortunate you'll never gert another chance to see. MANY people buy many items from my site where otherwise it would cost them a fortune to shop at many sites and have to pay SHIPPING on every site that they pick their parts from. It is explained plain as day opn the main Parts page here: http://www.buzzardsbass.com/bass-parts.html

There is no other online bass guitar parts supplier that has the selection you'll find here. This allows you to save the most due to the shipping costs you'd incur when having to source your parts from several locations. Shipping counts for a large portion of cost. Domestic and International Shipping charges are set at a flat rate inside your shopping cart. When I package your order I will refund you for the amount that is more than the actual cost. The more you buy the more you'll save~!

NEXT: On the page you bought the neck from it has OPTIONS to be able to have THE WORK done before it is shipped.

Then, IF YOU HAD BOTHERED CONTACTING ME FIRST you would have been told the situation; whether it was in stock or not.

Then, you obviously went to my contact page and at least read the first shaging line to get this email. What you did NOT do is read the whole shaging page. Some people worry from the time they place their order until the time it is delivered. They worry so much so that they send email from the moment they place their order. Well, that makes things extra hectic around here. Also, before you complain to me you must know I am not controlling the shipping. Shipping companies control this. I ship the fastest way possible and that is 99.999% USPS Priority. Most suppliers ship only using UPS Ground and UPS 3-Day Delivery is double the cost. This is a big part of the problem. Suppliers are not interested in saving us time or money.

Here is what happens during the typical ordering process:

    1. You place your order and you receive a confirmation of your order from my account at Paypal. Guess what~? That is the only confirmation you will receive. When you get one, I get one.

    2. If the item(s) you ordered are in stock I will print a shipping label using the Stamps.com interface, as well as send you a message through Paypal. You will receive an email from Stamps.com AND Paypal with the tracking information. Asking me on day one if I have shipped your package isn't going to provide me or you with any information. Be kind . . . and be patient.

    3. If the item(s) you ordered are NOT in stock I will place your order with mine. I do this at least every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday morning at 9:00 AM. Sometimes I even place orders every day. I do not place orders on weekends because I cannot place orders on weekends. My suppliers are closed, even though I am not closed. I am here every day; all day and all night.

    4. Most orders I place at my suppliers are shipped to me either the same day or typically within one or two days. Depending on the size of my orders I place will dictate how they are shipped to me. If I have a large number of orders I pay for 3 day delivery. If I do not have a large number of orders then I pay for UPS Ground. Most suppliers do not ship via USPS Priority, but I do.

    5. Just about every package that has ever been shipped to me has a tracking number which brings me to a page, let's say the UPS tracking page. On that tracking page it seems to always state that the package being shipped to me will arrive by the END of a specified day. This means it is too late for me to ship on the day I receive your order from my suppliers. The orders get separated, packaged and then shipping labels are printed. Your package goes out to the shippers I use, UPS for basses and bodies, USPS Priority for everything else. You receive your tracking number then.

Questioning me about product descriptions: The description is available on the page that lists the product. If information is lacking that is all the info I have available. Asking me more about an item isn't going to help. If there was more info it would be within the description already. Contact the manufacturer . . . woah . . . déjà vu . . . did you see that too~?

Questioning me about an item being in stock: While this is a legitimate question, if you are looking for the best deal possible you are already here. If you want an item faster than you can get it from me then go to the manufacturer and buy from them. The majority of items I have in stock are those that are the most widely used and consumed. While I may have some pickguards and pickups in stock, a higher percentage of items are ordered at the time you place your order.

Questioning me about anything using text via your phone: If you cannot get to a computer with a monitor screen to click on a link to view any item asking me via your phone isn't helping me so I am not going to be very pleased about you not doing your due diligence. Need to hear that another way~? If you are so lazy that you cannot do the clicking and get the information yourself then I am not here for your time because all you are doing is wasting mine. Nine out of ten people don't even provide me the courtesy of a response after I've emailed them all the information I have concerning their questions. A simple thank you from you goes a long way . . .

LOOK AT THE THE TRACKING INFO *******

It wasn't until december 12 that i got confirmation that the package had shipped. I ordered this on december 4th. this does in fact reflect badly on you. If you didn't have bass necks in stock, it should have listed that on your site when I bought it. I would not recommend ordering from you and i dont appreciate your passing the buck to ups.

Subject: About Your Buzzards Bass Shop Order

    Hi Charles,

I wanted to send you an update on your order. I have attached an image showing that UPS dropped the ball on the shipment from Allparts to me. I hope this does not reflect badly on me. I did my part in placing my order with your bass neck right away. I wish there was something I could do but unfortunately this is but another black eye for UPS.

I will be shipping your neck as soon as it arrives via USPS Priority.

The bad CS from Buzzard's Bass story is always amusing, although I get tired of the reruns sometimes. The answer to the question I always ask about him and his business demeanor is "huge brass ones" !

You got off pretty easy. He usually promises a personally delivered beating or makes death threats.

  8. I've been tempted to order from him just so I would have a funny story tell afterwards.

I contacted him a couple of years ago and asked him to replace the active electronics in my MIA Jazz Deluxe and set it up passively with a set of Lindy Fralin pickups. I told him that since I live about 20 minutes from him that I would drop the bass off and pick it up when it was done. I received a response in which he said that my bass could not be set up the way I wanted and that he works from home so my presence was not needed nor wanted there. I responded and explained that I didn't see any reason to ship the bass since I live close by. I also told him that I was sure that the bass could be set up as I had explained in my original email. What followed was a series of hostile profanity laced emails in which he repeatedly threatened to kill me. I finally had enough and forwarded his emails to the police department where he lives. A few days later, the emails stopped.

I ended up bringing the bass to Guitar Doctor in Whitman, Mass and the work was done exactly as I had wanted. They were very easy to deal, gave me a great price and finished the work ahead of schedule.

He sells stuff that he doesn't even stock? What a strange business model.

  12. I had a similar problem when I ordered a new piston for my ktm300 from an online supplier. The way it was set up made it look like the parts were in stock but I reckon it was some kid in his bedroom with a decent looking website. I got the part in the end but it took a couple of months! That's the trouble with Internet purchases.

Wait, you actually ordered from Buzzard? I thought everyone knew NOT to order from that mess. Kind of how everyone knows to exhale after inhaling. Were you drunk and goofing around in a poke-the-troll kind of way?

  14. LOL again? Isn't this like the 10th time someone made a thread on a bad experience with Buzzard? Maybe it's time ebay revoked their membership....

I honestly wish their was some way that everyone could know about him before ordering. Because no matter how many threads and bad experiences, there will still be people searching for those parts and run upon his website and next thing you know......... BOOM!!!!! Buzzard has cussed you and half your family out and probably your dog as well. Maybe even threatened you too!!!!
I feel bad for everybody who has had to deal with him, and I am thankful I heard first and never did.

he says he's going to sue me and that he will be charging me 150$ for his email correspondence. He's actually really funny.

  19. Wow. Oh, my god. If it were me, I'd make that 20 minute drive to his place and high-kick his head off his shoulders. What a dick.
