Badass Bass V

Discussion in 'Hardware, Setup & Repair [BG]' started by needmoney, Jun 6, 2005.

  1. Does the Badass Bass v string bridge have standard string spacing or tighter spacing? I'm looking at a replacement bridge for a Streamer Rockbass, which is tighter than standard spacing, prolly about 17mm at the bridge.

The BA V string spacing is 3" from the low B to the G; 19mm from string to string. I think Warwick's standard string spacing is 17mm.
  3. Isn't it like the 4 string versions where you file your own grooves in the saddles so you can have anything you want (within reason)? I'd find that strange if it's not the same concept.

+2 you file the saddles to your liking. On my P bass, i calculated it so it woudl be the same as the stock bridge... string spacing i mean.

I had a BA-V on an MTD Kingston some time ago. (I never bothered filing the grooves). You can file your own grooves, but if it were me, I wouldn't compromise the straight string pull at the bridge.
