I was looking at the BagEnd site and I see that you can now buy directly from them using their site and traditional CC/PayPal payment methods. I’m glad to see that they’re finally catching up to modern times with regards to running their business.. adding ecommerce. I was always curious as to why they never had a marketing campaign.. Their S-15’s are my all time favorites..
I gather their bread and butter comes from large scale pro audio and specialty setups that don't target us. But I agree, if they marketed their stuff it would sell better. Imagine if they had a few cabs in all the GC's.
my recent testimonial for 40 year old is here under Brian Murphy [3rd one down] Testimonials - Bag End
For some manufacturers, doing business with Guitar Center is like the biblical story about the Golem: You created this thing to help you, then it owns you. BagEnd in GC is a problem they don't need; selling direct to guys who've done their homework makes complete sense to me.
That's pretty cool. I think my SB-18C is 30 or 40 years old. It says ELF on the back, banana plugs, black carpet, 3/4" ply, big box and weighs 80#.
On my iPad now and don’t know how to copy an image location Bag End Club. Try to get a better pic soon. I’ll probably get rid of that blue grill paint some day. And add castors or bolt on a fork lift pallet.
I’ve had the carpeted S-15 cabs for many years. I now have the powered PS15N that replaced the passive cabs.
Ive been using the two smaller cabs for a year though i have some bigger stage gigs coming up so i think i may try one small and one large cab, i love bag end cabs
I keep thinking I may flip to Bag End. People I highly respect swear by them. Their market is big concert audio, but I take that as a good sign. Really dig the new 15 enclosures...
The used market has some great value. I recently purchased the BE powered 15 cabs. Built like tanks.. sound great. I do miss having a passive 15 around..
For a fair number of years, a Bag End BX-D 410 was a staple in my rig. I don't think I've ever owned (or played!) a 410 that sounded better. I LOVED that thing. But the beast weighed 96 pounds, so eventually I reluctantly sold it. (Sigh...) {}
I've read only great things about these enclosures. Do any of you have experience with their lighter weight 15's?
