I am thinking about getting a 15" cab to complement my LDS 2x8 with mid tweeter, just when I need things to get nice and loud. These two are within my scope. I like the portability of the two. Any opinions? Could anybody compare and contrast the two?

I recommend the Epifani UL. Haven't tried that particular cab, but I have the 310 and love it.

I would go Bag End all the way. If you are going to use this cab exclusively with the 2x8 you could get non-coax model, they still have plenty of "bark" and sound great on their own. If you are a presence freak then the "x" model will really keep yoy happy!!

Not to talk you out of two excellent choices, but have you also considered the Bergantino HT115? Is is quite compact, and is the best sounding 1x15 I have heard. They were recently discontinued, but you can find them used.

Another option would be to have Don at LDS build you a matching 1x15.
