Banana and Speakon plugs

  1. could some one please explain to me what these plugs are, what they do, and the pros and cons between them? thanks

    I can't tell you much about banana jacks, but I'll tell you what I know about the speakons (aka twistlok)

    The biggest advantage of a speakon connector is it's high reliabilty. You can't yank them out of a female plug, because you have to twist it to connect it together. Another advantage: biamping from one cable, though I'm not sure how it's done.
