Band in a Box Basslines...

    ...how good are they? Since they're supposed to simulate styles of music we play, should we assume Band in a Box generates the best possible line?

    Have you ever programmed a song you play frequently into Band in a Box and compared the computer generated bassline to yours? Which one do you like better and why?

    Has Band in a Box influenced your playing and in what way?

    MIDI based, you can select a style (ie. funk) and then add chords, C, Bb7, Am13 or whatever, and select instruments and Band-in-a-box creates lines for each instrument to play...

    it's a really good program to practice coming up with good basslines, just disable the bass and play your own line. :)

  6. IMO, BIB comes up with some darn good lines, especially the walking bass lines. Check out The Flinstones theme on BIB. I know my I'm not as talented as many others, but I find some of the lines pretty challenging.
