    -Friction
    -Twisted Ladder
    -GCF (greatest common factor)
    -Steel*random name,animal,etc*

That was the best I could do. sad huh.
I wouldn't just do what everyone seems to be doing and say 'random object+random Number'

    peace

If you go to www.musiciansfriend.com and go under the Fun or FunStuff section, there's a song/band name generator. Haven't used it, so I can't vouch for whether or not it sucks.

    Do they really matter?

It sure does when your band is just getting going. Its like a mantra to chant, to get you ready for a show.

Here are some band names to consider for a hardcore/new metal type band.

    Chicken finger
    deaf o matic
hot tush (70s reference for a girl band)
    value not found
hoof and mouth (if your from England)
    super certification
    complete satisfaction (day job band)
    flowery undefeated consistent kickboxer
phy zappa crapa (college radio band)
L.D.E.F.F. (last ditch effort for fame)

bizalicka (cuz you like limp and metalica)

don't kill yourselves over the name, I found that fans generally grow to love the name over time, but are instantly drawn to your sound.

  7. Just off the top `o me head.....

Stinkfinger(I know a rip off of Badfinger and Goldfinger but a kewl punk name none the less!)

    Fishwife(and older term for a nag[my ex-wife])

Hagfish(another name for Lampery I think)

Koff Syrip Junkies(This one came to me when I was suffering from Bronchitis and swigging codine cough syrip)

Ballbreaker or Backbreaker(could refer to an ex or a wwf guy?)

Drugstore Cowboyz(from the flick w/ Matt Dillon)

    Bitchslap(...need I say more?)

You realize if you use one of them thar names I effed don`t you? :D

    Good Luck with the band!

  9. just throw a couple words together that have nothing to do with eachother:

    27" Metric Toilet
    Arsen Ice Space
    Flaming Ding Bat
    Dung Beatles of 1286

or be like oldies bands and use useless objects:
    The Ashtrays
    The Paper
    The Reading Lamps

and so on and so on...
