    That's a good list, can't really add much to it.

    They say GG in concert were just unbelievable. Although I've heard the same said (in a similar vein) about Ozric Tentacles - though I've never seen them, either.

    Ironically, no one ever saw the Beatles perform live "in context." That is, by the time it was realized that they weren't simply a mop-top teen sensation, but the gatekeepers to an entire new era in music, they were done, and had moved onto other things.

    Their individual members never added up to anywhere near the whole of the Beatles as a phenomenon.

    I'm really echoing the Gentle Giant sentiment.

    I think I may have to search out some DVDs of theirs (if there are any). Hearing their music and seeing them perform from videos on Youtube just solidifies them as one of the best bands ever when it comes to recreating their studio stuff live... to PERFECTION.
