thought i'd record a bit of aimless noodling with the Barber LTD SR. to those of you that have asked me for clips... thanks for your patience, and i hope this helps you!

the first clip is done finger-style, the second pick-style.
both clips start (and end, i think) with clean tone. the gain goes up incrementally (9:00, 12:00, 3:00, dimed), ranging from barely perceptible to hairy to gritty to dirty.
at the end of the second clip, i mess around a little on my favorite setting (every knob pretty much at 12:00, with the drive a little more juiced... at something like 12:47 :)), and then play clean again.

i left my amp on the full band settings. i didn't think to set it up more for solo playing, so the clips don't sound as bright and articulate as they could. meh... it sounds great set like this when the whole band's playing with me! :D

    please enjoy!

this is the sound of my board. first clean, then the Attack Goat, then Attack Goat + Barber, then clean again. the second part of the clip follows the same format, but i play with a pick. enjoy!

Wow, that thing is transparent. How much sustain does it add, on a relative scale? Lots? Not so lots?

i'm very curious to hear the difference between the two. as a matter of fact, i bought that Barber pedal from our very own David Wilson! i guess he liked the Angler better.

good thing i'm on the list to get one of those, too! :D

  9. Well in that case you can be the one to A/B them for me!

Another homerun for Barber. More bassists should become aware of the incredible products they offer.

This is one pedal I prefer on bass vs. guitar. It's a perfect solution for a common search in this forum. On guitar I find it to be just okay.

interesting! i found to kick A$$ with both instruments. i had some guitar player buddies of mine try it out through some nice amps, and it was beautiful and rich to my ears (and theirs).
    +1!
