baritone guitars

  1. anything? good-bad, expensive-cheap, worth it-not worth it, what good are they, any good brands or ones i should look at? thanks ahead of time

    The old Fender 6 string basses were known as baritone basses. They were 30" scale as I recall and were never very popular and are mostly collectors items now.
     
  3. I think they are the coolest thing since sliced bread if you have two guitarists and your band does retro-surf-originals.

    An inexpensive and good-sounding one would be a Danelectro Baritone. They're more guitar than bass, though, they're for playing chords and solos etc. It doesn't replace a bass in a band. Cool though.
