Bart PJ set - active P and passive J?

Discussion in 'Pickups & Electronics [BG]' started by basstrader, Apr 18, 2005.

  1. I scored this deal on ebay and was wondering if this is an unusual combination or if others have tried it. It's a 9J4L + 8TC (i think). I would think there would be a level mismatch. It came with a Bart NTMB too, which I am planning to try in a Carvin bass I just picked up.probably look into getting another 9J as well. Trade any body? 8TC for 9J?

Bart does it that way. The 9J and 9JL's are the recommended match on the Bart site. I have the Active J(s) and only the neck pup is active. Not a problem regardless but I'd guess espcially not a problem through a preamp that should buffer it some.
