Barto MV52CBJD(3) / Shed some light?

Hey there everyone. Just wondering if anyone can shed some light on this wide variety or Bartolini Ernie Ball MM Replacement pups. There are so many different kinds and I'm trying to experiment too much with the budget.

I play r&b , neo-soul (who thought up that crappy genre name) funk, gospel, pop, jazz.


I guess my question is just how accurate do you all think the description of these pickups are:

MV52CBJD(3) - Quad Coil, Classic Bass. Two CBJD (jazz pickups) in one shell. Allows for humcancelling split coil operation.

"Classic Bass" CB series bass pickups feature an extended and more resonant frequency range. They have far more "air" and definition at the top without sacrificing lows and low mids. They are cast in epoxy to remove unwanted feedback and microphonics.


I too want a growl...not so much the kind of snarl that's happening as we speak and I'm wondering which one of these pickups will help achieve.
