Discussion in 'Pickups & Electronics [BG]' started by bassis_fiendus, Nov 16, 2002.

  1. I'm buying a Warwick Streamer LX, and i want to get the pups upgraded b4 i buy to something better than the standard MEC pups. I've heard some good things about Bartolini and just wondered what people thought of Bartolini 5str Soapbar Active Humbucker which are one the optional types of pup upgrades listed.

    Thanx

The pups are fine, its the preamp that's weak. Get a good Basslines 3-band or something of the like.

  3. iplaybass have you had any experience with the 2 way preamps on the Streamer?

I have a Streamer LX, and replaced the MECS with a set of Basslines Active Phase I Pickups and a 3 Way Preamp.

    The difference was BIG.
There is the Warwick tone but greatly enhanced and now you can bring up the bass without having mud.
    The clarity is also enhanced.
