I have a set of new Bart 9J that I never use since I bought it a year ago. I want to put it on my esh J bass, which is equipped with Kent Armstrong pu's and pre (2-band). I have another Jazz (ESP) that is equipped with DiMarzio Model J. I want the esh to be the modern one, the ESP to be the vintage one. I want this because of the natural/acoustic of these two instruments.

I'm thinking putting the bart on my esh but don't know if I should leave it with passive circuit, or use the same Kent A. preamp. Will active pickups and active circuit be too much? Especially they are different brands.

Then, maybe try the Kent A. pickup on my ESP, to replace the Model J.

What do you guys think? Well, basically I have two basses, three sets of pickups (1 active, two passive) and a preamp.

    Thanks for your time. :hyper:

    I was wrong, it's 9E, not 9J.
