I'm thinking of replacing the Seymour Duncan soapbars in my bass with a set of Bartolini BC4CBC pickups. This is the shape of both:

    1. How will the Bartolinis sound relative to the Duncan pickups?
    2. Will the passive Barts replace the active Seymour Duncan soapbars easily given the SD 3 band preamp?
    3. Will I get more output?

    1. Probably more neutral sounding. The SD active soapbars I've heard had a high end emphasis.
    2. You'll need to replace the blend pot with a 250K/500K blend pot.
    3. Depends on the wiring. If you can wire each pickup in series, you'll get more output than if you have them in parallel
