Bartolini k series?

    Has anyone tried any of the Bartolin K series pickups(9k, 59k)? I'm wondering how they compare to others but have not been able to find any info on these besides the Bartolini website. Also are Barts in general good to use with out and active preamp? I have heard that they can sound kind of soft and bassy without active help.
