BARTOLINI question

Discussion in 'Luthier's Corner' started by Chunk-O-Funk, Jan 29, 2006.

  1. Does anyone know if the bartolini pick ups in a Lakland are epoxied (potted) I'm thinking they are because I did not find replacement covers listed on his site, but that may because his logo is printed on the cover.

I am entertaining the idea about making or having some wooden covers made out of birds eye maple to match the neck. Knobs too.

If they are expoxied I guess I can just forget about it.

I did quite a bit of searching and found a lot of information on how to make the covers, but did not find an answer to this question. It would save me the time of taking out my pick ups.

You could have a veneer put onto them. I believe that some people do this with Barts and EMGs. All the Barts I've seen have been epoxied.
