My ESET NOD32 antivirus is reporting the JS Kryptik.AD trojan virus being downloaded on everything I click on at the Bartolini web site. I don't know how to get a hold of them to let them know. I was hoping somebody here might be in contact with them. In the mean time, be forewarned.

Just in case you're wondering, I'm a Bartolini fan. I've got Bart preamps in two of my basses, and the soapbars in three of them. I encountered the virus trying to find the 4 conductor dual coil diagram.

    Thanks,

    jim k.

They stopped receiving email years ago because of a virus.

    This is their contact info:

    Fax: (925) 449-7692

They really should upgrade to a Mac and bio done with virus and trojan problems once and for all!

I can't imagine running a company and not having an email address.

I just went onto there site and clicked on as many links as I could find. No virus. Sites sometimes get hijacked and your request is redirected to site which has the virus. Most of the time this is temporary until discovered.
It has either been found by the hosting company and fixed or the hacker has moved on.

At the very least install and maintain some antivirus software.

Bart's website is an afterthought, at best. It wouldn't surprise me in the least if they did get hacked.

  10. I am a Bart fan too - pickups and preamps, but their site is crap!

9 months later - the malicious javascript is still there. I guess it is there to stay.
