I've ordered a pair of Bartolini Quads and an Aguilar OBP-3 to replace the MEC pups and preamp in a Warwick Streamer Stage 1. I've been back and forward for a couple of weeks now trying to get advice from Bartolini on what pots are needed; the OBP-3 comes with suitable tone pots, but I'm not sure if the existing stacked volume and pup pan pot will work with the Bart pups? The MECs I think are active pups, they have the gold logo on them and have a red (power?) cable running to them as well as the white (signal?) cable. The Barts are passive, will they require different capacitance volume/pan pots? The stacked volume/pan pot in there at the moment is this one WARWICK MEC Volume / Balance Push/Pull Pot Module, for active Pickups, R5 Connector According to that site its 500 kOhm for the volume pot and two 25 kOhm bits for the pup pan/blend. Thanks very much in advance...
Look what Bartolini uses for their Pickups: https://bartolini.net/wp-content/uploads/Docs/NTMB_Wiring.pdf 250 kOhm for blend pot 250 kOhm for Volume active/passive switch 25 kOhm for Volume active only
