What will happen if I play bass through a BASS head and a Marshall GUITAR cab at loud (=gigging) volume. Will it blow the guitar cab speakers?
I own a Marshall JCM 900 1960A cabinet with 4 x 12'' speakers for guitar, and I wonder whether I should sell it and buy a bass combo, or whether I should just buy a good bass amplifier head and use it with the Marshall cab I've already got.
Thanks for any help & comments!

  2. More than likely **** the speakers

bass amps put out a lot higher wattage than guitar amps and guitar speakers arent designed to move out as far as bass speakers do

From what I understand, the guitar speakers won't be able to handle the low frequancies put out by your bass/amp.
