okay, it really isnt a bass bridge, it's a guitar bridge, but you guys seem to know the most. ya see, i bought a really cheap ibanez, and now i regret it. i put thicker strings on it (12's) and i like the feel but the strings are pulling back the bridge. (about 1/8 of an inch). i never use the tremolo arm, nor do i manipulate the bridge with my hand. sooo... any options are greatly appreciated.

That's called a Floyd Rose tremolo. It works by having the strings pull it up from the body. Otherwise, it would sit back against the body, because it's only held down by two screws.

    What's the problem now?
