Bass Cabs

Discussion in 'Amps and Cabs [BG]' started by ch scribbles, Jul 10, 2001.

  1. Hey to all the bass players today/tonite.

I have a delima. I have a choice between a mesa-boogie 1x15 BT PowerHouse with no head or a Marshall 7152 with a 7200 head. Could anyone please tell me which has a better sound & which is cheaper to buy brand new?? thanks for all your input.

Well I've never played through the Marshall, so I can't comment on that but MESA/Boogie speakers are my personal favorites. Very punchy, tight sound that move a lot of air when you crank it. They can also take a lot of abuse and come back for more. Especially the road ready series. Suppose one factor would be if you have an amp or not. If you then MESA would be the way to go. If you need an amp as well as a cab the depending on the price the Marshall might be a good deal, if you like the sound. If you don't like the sound it doesn't really matter if it's a good deal or not
